What to expect on the day
We lay dust sheets and protect floors, stairs and furniture before we start. Old plaster is removed and bagged up, and surfaces are prepared with the right bonding or PVA so the new coat grips properly. When we leave, the room is swept and tidy.
Fresh plaster needs time to dry before you paint. As a rough guide, allow a few days for a skim and longer for thicker backing coats, depending on ventilation and the time of year. The first coat should be a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) so the paint doesn’t peel. We’ll give you clear aftercare advice for your job.
